In sum: Iris Gibney, 42, allegedly met a seventeen-year-old student at a Pottsgrove High School in Pennsylvania while helping her daughter’s cheerleading squad. Iris and the teen started talking on Twitter, and Gibney then allegedly sent nude pictures of herself to the boy. A police officer later caught them having sex in a car parked illegally at a public park.

Ummm… maybe park legally if you’re gonna have sex in a car, especially if the sex you’re having in said illegally parked vehicle is illegal in of itself. Gah!!

If I hear one more person (read: heterosexual dude) wonder where these sorts of cheer moms, teachers, etc were when they were seventeen… well, I’ll probably just re-articulate my thoughts on similar matters one more time, and another and another.

This is not ok.

“Pennsylvania ‘cheer mom’ of 3 arrested for having sex with daughter’s 17-year-old classmate in parked car” (12/24/14, here)

A Pennsylvania mother and volunteer “cheer mom” for her daughter’s high school squad has been arrested for allegedly having sex with a 17-year-old boy in a parked car.

Iris Gibney was charged with corruption of minors, disseminating obscene materials to a minor and trespass by motor vehicle, the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office reported.

The arrest comes from an investigation after the two were caught in the act.

An Upper Pottsgrove officer discovered what was going on after spotting them both naked engaging in “physical contact” in a car parked illegally at Hollenbach Park around 8:30 p.m. Nov. 15, authorities said. The two admitted they were engaging in sexual activity, authorities said.

The illicit relationship began when Gibney met the child at a school function and she further communicated with him on Twitter and sent him nude pictures.

Gibney, a mother of three, was a volunteer cheer mom at Pottsgrove High School where her daughter is a member of the cheerleading squad, reports NBC Philadelphia. The victim also attends the high school.

The mom, an employee of Victoria’s Secret, admitted her guilt to the officer that caught her in the act.

“I’ve never been in trouble before. I can’t believe I did this. I have three children of my own — I am so, so sorry,” she told the officer, according to the station.

The suspect and her husband declined to comment to the station.
