Something so cool – me and my work are featured in a spotlight section of the brand new text, The Real World: An Introduction to Sociology!
(pictured: The Real World, 4th ed)
Published by the noteworthy and worldwide W.W. Norton & Company, this installment of The Real World is actually the fourth edition from authors Kerry Ferris and Jill Stein. It’s described as “the most relevant textbook for today’s students,” and goes on to state:
The Real World succeeds in classrooms because it focuses on the perspective that students care about most—their own. In every chapter, the authors use activities, examples from everyday life, and popular culture to draw students into thinking sociologically and to show the relevance of sociology to our relationships, our jobs, and our future goals.
Awesome!
Page 167 is all about changing definitions of deviance… even in scholarship. And me and my work re the adult entertainment industry are highlighted as evidence!
